Background Information: I am planning to interview Derek Waddups. He is a baseball coach at SLCC.

The interview will take place in Derek’s office. There should be no interruptions in this interview.

Opening: hi thank you for giving me the time to interview you

As I mentioned on the phone, I am doing the interview for my communications class. I would like to find out more about your profession.

I have three topics I would like to discuss with you: some facts about your work schedule, the environment of the work place, and how this job has affected your life. As I mentioned on the phone this interview will only take about 30 minutes of your time.
